This piece of field gear was an integral part of the U.S. soldiers’ equipment used in the field throughout many wars. Designed after the very functional German/Austrian version, this M-1943 entrenching tool consists of a single folding blade, an aluminium locking nut, and a solid tapered wooden shaft made of oak or hickory.
